Diana's Journey: From Tragedy to Transformation
My name is Diana Crager, I have lived in Springfield, Missouri all of my life except for 3 years when I lived in Mesa, AZ. I happened to find a great husband while I was there. We will have our 40th wedding anniversary December 2025. I worked in the medical field 38+ years.
In 1998 my husband and I had a catastrophic car accident. It was only by the miracle of prayer we survived and I am still here today. This was one of those dramatically life-changing events. The accident was not our fault but, nonetheless we were both broken from head to toe, many fractures, brain injuries, internal bleeding, etc. We spent over a month in the hospital and a week in a medically induced coma. (One day I will write about the experience I had during the times my heart stopped after that accident.)
Years of Pain and Searching for Answers
In the following years there was a lot of rehab, surgery, doctor visits, and long-lasting pain and lots of medications, so many medications, and they were not good for us. I ended up with fibromyalgia, and my husband was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica approximately 9 years ago, making it impossible for him to move at times, he could not even close his hands, we thought he had MS it was so bad.
After doctors saying they did not know what caused PMR or really how to treat it, they began throwing medications at it. After all of this I started looking for any other help for chronic pain and Autoimmune disorders I could find. We also knew many other friends and family members with specific health concerns that also needed treatment.
